This month we will be using COLORED PENCIL and a variety of surfaces to paint animals which are members of the CANINE family.

We will paint a WOLF, ISLAND FOX, COYOTE, and a DOG!

We will learn how to choose colors, recognize value shifts and translate them into color, layering, blending, and adding texture. We will be using a variety of different surfaces which support colored pencil such as drafting film, Pastelmat, hot pressed watercolor paper, and drawing paper.

This is a monthly subscription to my ongoing ONLINE art classes where each month we will choose a focal subject and will combine it with a particular media such as soft pastels, colored pencil, or acrylic paint. We will learn how to use a wide variety of substrates and solvents to help bring our subjects to life! In addition, I email the students a curated list of my personal photos references for the week’s subject/s as well as an itemized list of the materials I plan to use/demo for the lesson.
